I love-love-LOVE this nail polish! I don't know what it is (probably magic) but this color always looks elegant & classy... Even if I'm wearing leggings and an oversize t-shirt, this nail polish still adds a nice touch of chic, making me feel a bit more pretty & put-together. I don't think a lot of nail polishes can do that, which is exactly what makes this one so very special.

current nail polish favorites

It's been a while since I've done a nail polish post, so I decided to go ahead and do one right now! Though to be honest, I'll take up any excuse to talk about nail polish. ;) Right, so these are the narrowed down bunch of polishes I'm  l o v i n g  at the moment. I don't know if this ever happens to you, but I like to switch up my polishes a lot, simply because I get bored of wearing the same exact color...over and over and over again. So instead of having just one favorite polish, I ended up with a few:

Here is how I apply my lipstick (especially if I want it to last! ;)

From left to right, top to bottom:

1st... I always begin by preparing my lips with a thick coat of lip balm. It keeps my lips soft and all-around healthy.   

2nd... I apply my lipstick of choice either with a lip brush or straight from the bullet. For this step, I only fill in my natural lip shape. 

3rd... I blot my lips with a tissue, removing any excess oil form the lipstick.

4th... Now, I fix the edges and if fitting, I also extend my lip line with..you've guessed it-a lipliner! I try to match the lipliner to my lipstick, otherwise, I go with a shade lighter.

5th... I apply a second coat of the same lipstick usually by using a lip brush this time around. 

6th... I smile and get out the door! Done & done!

Yesterday

Yesterday, much like the rest of my winter break was super lazy...and of course, amazing. I started off by watching The Office, which, between you and me, is one of my favorite TV shows ever! (Actually, I'm watching Season 4 Episode 3 right now, Michael is about to kidnap the pizza guy, haha here we go...) Anyway, after I've watched a few episodes of that,  I went ahead and started my makeup.

The naive me decided to experiment with some black eyeshadows as I thought it was a good idea and I now know, it was not not! To put it simply, I looked like a raccoon. So after an hour of hopeless blending I called it quits and wiped most of it off. To be fair, I wasn't using hight quality eyeshadows so, technically, this wasn't my fault entirely. Either way, I have learned my lesson.

Also, my liquid liner decided to act up haha how could I not see this coming... But besides the uneven edges, I am actually pretty proud of how it came out. I better get a new liquid liner though, I'm thinking Revlon ColorStay Pen possibly?  

So after I was done with my makeup (which took way longer that it should have), I went outside to practice driving. Ughh driving.. I put off getting my license for years now but it's time to finally "man up" and just get them. I have my test in two week and goodness, I am so nervous... Anyway, when I came back and had dinner I decide to watch some Russian cartoons (the old, funny ones). I used to watch these when I was little and seeing them now brings so many good memories from my childhood. There is nothing better than the good old Prostokvashino haha.

Sunrise

While on my way to the city, I decided to snap a few pictures of the beautiful sky, as the sun was making its way to the very top. I absolutely love watching sunrise because quite frankly, I find it to be incredibly romantic and magical, as cheesy as that sounded...haha So before my camera's battery unexpectedly went from 3 to 0 bars, faster than I can say 'just my luck', I managed to snatch these few photos.
